Private Abraham Erickson enlisted in Company "I", 4th Wisconsin Volunteer Cavalry on January 20, 1864 at Albion, Jackson County, Wisconsin.

He was recruited by Sergeant J.S. Hall and enlisted for 3 years.

He was mustered March 3, 1864 at Madison, Wisconsin.

He was 18 years old, single, had blue eyes, dark hair, a light complexion, was 5' 7" and was a Farmer. He was from Hixton, Wisconsin.

He arrived as a "recruit from Depot" on March 30, 1864 at Baton Rouge, Louisiana. In July of 1864 he was detached as an Ambulance Driver. On August 23, 1865 he was transferred to Company "A".

In December, 1865 he was detached as a courier and in January of 1866 was listed as "on mail line". He was mustered out with his Company on May 28, 1866.
