Infromation provided by Helen Jackson wife of Newton Jackson, great grandson of Newton H. Culver.
Newton was from Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. He married Mary Wilder. They had five children, three survived to adulthood. Mary died in Michigan in 1885 and Newton eventually lived in California where he died June 18, 1920.
Just as a side note: Newton named his first son Halbert Earl, I believe after Halbert Paine and Lt. Earl of the 4th Wisconsin.
